Privacy Policy

Effective October 28, 2026. This policy covers leonardjfrench.com, operated by The Law Firm of Leonard J. French.

What we collect, and why

Contact form. Your name, email address, phone number, and message, and the IP address your request came from. The form is emailed to our attorneys so we can reply to you; this site does not store it. The IP address is used only to limit abuse. If our email provider fails to deliver a submission, it is written to our server’s system log so your message is not lost.

Analytics and cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, general location derived from your IP address, and device and browser type. Google Analytics sets cookies to do this. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person, not a bot, is submitting it. The video on this page is hosted by Wistia, which receives your IP address and viewing activity when you play it. We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.

Scheduling. Booking links go to Calendly, which collects the details you enter under its own privacy policy.

Server logs. Our server records the IP address, requested page, date and time, and browser of each request.

Who receives it

Form submissions are delivered by Resend, our email provider, to our attorneys. Google, Cloudflare, Wistia, and Calendly process data as described above. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We may disclose information when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Contact-form emails: this website keeps no copy; they are emailed to our attorneys and kept with the firm’s correspondence. Web server logs: 14 days. The system log that holds an undelivered form is kept until newer entries overwrite it. Google Analytics data: the retention period set in our Google Analytics account.

Your choices and requests

You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email ljfrench@torrentdefense.com or call or text (610) 466-5644. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we may keep information our professional obligations require us to keep. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, and Google offers an opt-out add-on for Google Analytics.

Do Not Track

Your browser may send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common standard for responding to it, and this site does not currently change its behavior when it receives one. Other sites do not use this site to track you across the web.

California residents

This policy is intended to meet the California Online Privacy Protection Act. It lists the categories of personally identifiable information we collect, the third parties we share it with, how you can review and request changes to it, and how we respond to Do Not Track signals. When we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Confidentiality

Sending us a form or an email does not create an attorney-client relationship. Please do not send confidential details until we have spoken.
